Important Note on Swimming Lesson Scheduling:
Due to medical treatments I have to take mornings, 5 days a week,
until June 20, I will only be doing lessons "By Appointment," after 1:30 pm. 
I am available all day Saturdays and Sundays. 
After July 1st, you may schedule a time, weekday mornings,
afternoons or evenings, as well as weekends.

How Warm is my Pool?
 
Pools should be between 86-89 degrees F.
 86F for Swimming Laps & Pool Exercise
89F for Lessons, as sometimes you are listening to
 instruction from me and not moving.
For Unheated Pools, please have a Rashguard top
 and/or a Wetsuit top available.
 Outdoor Pool Lessons will begin as soon as
the Air Temp is at least 70F
& Water Temp at least 86F-89F.
If the air temp drops below 70F,
I can still give lessons in heated pools
and/or to those with a wetsuit!

Richard Parker has been teaching swimming since the early 1980's. He has developed his own unique method of teaching, The Parker Swimming Method, that reduces on the steps in learning to swim and has the result of making his students safer in the water. Richard comes to your pool from Montauk to Southampton. He also gives ocean swimming lessons. He was an ocean lifeguard for 20 years and he insists these skills are important to have before you learn to surf or enter the ocean environment!  He was interviewed in an article in Newsday, last summer, about Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

Benchmark: September 2012: 
Is the beginning of my thirteenth year of fitness training with Norma in Montauk! She does a boxing workout, kickboxing, jumping rope, speedbag and weight training, three days a week, 51 weeks a year. She has never missed more than one week of training in nine years!  She is on vacation for one week a year.


Fitness for Overweight individuals and Fitness for Older adults.

Outdoor Swimming lessons go into the beginning of October and start in May !
